Metal and Iron Ore Mining Industry

Metal and Iron Ore Mining
While iron makes up 98 percent of the earth’s core, we get most of this metal from the earth’s crust, which contains about 5 percent. We use iron to make steel, which allows for building cars, buildings, ships, and weapons. Our bodies also require iron to transport oxygen through our bodies. Most of the iron we get in the United States is from Michigan and Minnesota. Iron mine workers need personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce the risk of injury while working in the mines. Abolox carries gloves, overalls, hi-vis clothing, and other PPE to protect those in the mining industry.
Mining Industry

Mining
Miners are exposed to many hazards, including but not limited to harsh chemicals, explosions, fire, and mining dust. It is one of the most dangerous industries in the United States. Abolox carries the personal protective equipment to protect miners while they are working in the mines.
Mining provides coal for our electrical plants, metals such as gold, and minerals such as iron ore. Additionally, miners mine for rock and sand in the quarrying industry. We need these materials that are provided by the earth to live – many are found in building construction and road construction, and many of the items we use on a daily basis.
Welding Protection

Welding Protection
The most common way to join two pieces of metal is to weld them. Welding uses electricity, heat and molten metal to form a seam. Once the metal cools, the bond it forms is stronger than the original metal. Many industries use welding to create and repair metal parts. Abolox carries the personal protective equipment you need to safely weld parts, buildings and bridges.
Sheet Metal Industry

Sheet Metal
Sheet metal is a very thin metal and is very versatile. Companies use it to manufacture a myriad of items, including HVAC ducts, stove pipes, light tanks, and constructing buildings. Sheet metal workers fabricate and/or install sheet metal. They’ll need cut-resistant gloves and other personal protective equipment to protect them against the hazards of working with sheet metal. Abolox carries all of the personal protective equipment required when working with and fabricating sheet metal and sheet metal items.
Warehouse Safety Guidelines and Governance

Warehouse Safety Guidelines and Governance
Industrial warehouses are huge buildings designed to store materials for manufacturers and wholesale goods for retailers. A warehouse might be a general warehouse, refrigerated warehouse, or farm product warehouse. People who work in warehouses are those who fill orders, people who move materials, and people who package items. They all use their hands, which means they need gloves. Depending on what is stored in the warehouse, workers might need other personal protective equipment, including hi-vis clothing, waterproof clothing, hard hats and other PPE to reduce the risk of injury.
