Safety Jackets
Abolox®- Your best source for Safety Jackets!
Safety jackets are some of the most important pieces of clothing a person in a high-risk situation could have. Choosing the proper safety jacket is imperative to minimizing injury or death, especially in high-traffic areas, such as an accident scene or a school crossing guard, and at building fires where the glow of the fluorescent clothing could save a firefighter that is in trouble.Abolox carries several safety jackets that meet the ratings for several industries, including traffic directors, firefighters and school crossing guards. We also carry jackets rated for construction workers, forestry workers, line workers, and other industries that do not need the highest amount of visibility.
Safety Jackets for All Industries
High-visibility and regular visibility coats come in bright orange or yellow with reflective material so that people can see the workers. You can choose from regular and rain jackets. Some industries do not need a ton of reflective material, while others need more.Class 1 ANSI safety jackets and vests are for those who work in forestry, construction, or where traffic travels at or below 25 mph and work is far enough from the highway. The Class 1 jacket or vest contains at least 155 square inches of reflective tape around the shoulders and middle of the vest. Class 1 clothing can be sleeveless.Class 2 ANSI safety jackets and vests are for those who work in greater risk areas, including construction sites and where traffic moves at less than 50 mph. The jackets and vests must have at least 775 inches of safety orange or yellow background and 201 square inches of reflective striping. Common industries for Class 2 clothing include school crossing guards, baggage handlers at airports, and survey crews.Class 3 ANSI jackets and vests are for those who work in traffic traveling 50 mph or faster, emergency personnel, tow truck drivers, EMTs and those working in low visibility conditions, such as a blizzard or hard rain. The Class 3 jacket must have 1,240 square inches of safety orange or yellow background and a minimum of 310 square inches of reflective striping.
