Ratchet

Abolox®- Your Best Source for Ratchets

Ratchets come in many sizes, including ¼-inch, 3/8-inch, 1/2-inch, and one inch. Abolox carries different types for different applications. We also carry ratchet kits to repair ratchet heads. The brands we carry use quality materials so that the ratchets last – you won't have to replace them every few months, as you would some of the cheaper ratchets. You can put some torque behind them, and they won't break.

Ratchets at Abolox for Home and Work

Ratchets and sockets run bolts in and out a lot faster than wrenches – and they also fit where a wrench might not fit. While most auto technicians, plumbers, and electricians have two or three ratchets, homeowners might not – and a ratchet and set of sockets are some of the handiest tools to have in the home.If you do not have a ratchet and socket set, but two – one in SAE and one in metric. They're handy for putting furniture together, repairing lawnmowers, and even if you want to work on your own vehicle. Types of ratchets include the enclosed ratchet, flex ratchet and round ratchet.

Ratchet Features

Depending on the brand and type of ratchet, it has different features.

Enclosed Ratchet

Ratchets with enclosed heads are sealed, which prevents dirt, dust, and liquids from penetrating the head. The longer you can preserve the internal lubrication, the longer the ratchet will last before you have to replace it or rebuild it.Depending on the brand of enclosed ratchet, those we carry at Abolox feature:

Forged, one-piece for industrial applications and safety.
36-tooth gear.
10 degrees of engagement for tight spaces.
Nickel / Chrome plating helps prevent corrosion and rust.
Single pawl design.
Fewer working parts.
Easy-access reverse lever.
Originates in the USA.
Limited lifetime warranty.

Flex Ratchet

Flex ratchets allow you more ability to reach hard-to-reach bolts, especially when you combine a flex ratchet with an extension and a universal. The ability to flex the handle at different angles from the head allows for more leverage. The flex ratchets you'll find at Abolox feature chrome plating to reduce the chances of corrosion and rust and a spinner handle. Depending on the brand, flex ratchets originate in the United States and have a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty.

Round Ratchet

Many round ratchets have a double pawl design with 72 teeth actino and a 5-degree ratcheting angle so you can get into tight places. Additional features include:

Shift lever reverses action instantly.
Non-slip grip.
Knurled handle.
Chrome or black finish.
Originated in the United States.
Manufacturer lifetime warranty.
Double pawl design with 40 teeth action.
